Friends it wasn’t so long ago that I was about to launch a new service for my coaching business that had proven to be successful through a multitude of beta testing. I was more than proud and excited for the anticipated success!
I couldn’t wait to launch this new service because I knew whole-heartedly that I could serve more women, free up more time in my business, make more money, AND spread the Gospel– like, sounds too good to be true, right??
RIGHT!
You see, I had spent months prepping for launch and planning all my pre-launch and post-launch content and doing #allthemarketingthings. It was the day before my email was about to drop to my list and all I had to do was push “schedule” and all my fancy systems and hard work would be set to “do its thing” but there was one problem: I COULDN’T push that dang schedule button!
I buried my face in my hands and cried like a baby. (Ok fine, it was more like Kim Kardashian ugly crying but you get the picture.)
That “well done good and unfaithful servant” hurt bad and I didn’t understand how if:
That this wasn’t being faithful!?
“But without faith, it is impossible to please God.”- Hebrews 11:6
“Faith without works is dead.” -James 2:14-17
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the laborer builds in vain.” Psalms 127:1
And though I got major relief knowing that anything I did FOR Him wasn’t a waste of time or effort, it was in these truths that I realized I needed to be working WITH Him too.
It was in these truths that I finally repented for working in my own strength and making my own marketing strategies and laid it all down before Him.
It was in that moment that I realized my happiness wasn’t (and never would be) in any financial goal accomplishment or status quo achievement if I wasn’t growing my faith or seeking Him.
During those Kim K ugly tears, an idea (the ones I like to call a “divine burden” that you just can’t shake) resurfaced and I knew it was time to pursue with full faith.
And it was that very same day that I declared to pursue said idea, She Is Bold, and started sharing my vision with others.
